"The Chamber will extend all possible assistance to resolve issues pertaining to small traders".
This was stated by Siraj Kassam Teli, President Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), during a meeting with a delegation of small traders, led by Javed Sheikh, that called on him in the Chamber to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The KCCI president, while welcoming the delegates, assured them of the Chamber's co-operation and support in resolving their problems. He said: "We must strive for the truth and do good to all. We all are the members of the business community and the Chamber is meant to resolve the problems that the business community comes across."
During the meeting various matters of mutual interest were discussed and the traders expressed their satisfaction on the support extended to them by the Chamber, especially by Siraj Kassam Teli, the KCCI chief.
The Chamber chief said: "The doors of the Chamber are open for them and if they face any kind of problem the Chamber would extend its full co-operation."
He reassured the members of the delegation that he would personally make sure that their problems have been amicably resolved.
The small traders' delegation also included Anwar Pasha, Alhaj Haroon Rashid Chand, Naeem A. Zaki, Naqi Dehlvi, Akhtar Hussain, Mohammad Yousuf Chohan, Abdul Hameed Badla, Haji Mohammad Ibrahim Sorathya and Saifur Rehman.
Also present in the meeting were Abdul Majeed Memon and Junaid Ismail Makda, members of the managing committee.
