Muslim society can gain renaissance only by acting upon the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), said speakers at the Women Seerat Conference held here on Saturday.
The conference was arranged by Markazi Imam Hussain (AS) Council (Ladies Wing) in connection with the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations.
Women scholars from various walks of life, students, the wives of ministers and Ulema attended the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, member National Assembly Firdous Ashiq said the Muslim society in such a world of globalisation should follow the trends based on true Islamic principles.
UNITY STRESSED: Chairman Markazi Imam Hussain Council (AS) (Ladies Wing), Barrister Rubab Mehdi said Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PUBH) was a source of blessings for the entire humanity. She said: "Unity among different masses is need of the day."
Khanum Tahriyan, the wife of the Iranian ambassador, said: "The women scholars should play significant role in propagating the Islamic traditions and principles."
She urged for the need of establishing a network of women scholars from Islamic countries.
Renowned scholar Khanum Syeda Tayyaba Bokhari said mosques should be used as platform for disseminating the message of unity and brotherhood.
Begum Farzana Farooq, the wife of former Air Marshal Farooq Feroze Khan, said the personality of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is a role model for every person. She said the Muslim women should apprise their children with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
