Sherpao gives Rs 60,000 to ailing journalist

Federal Minister for Water & Power Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao on Sunday gave a cheque for Rs 60,000 as a financial assistance to ailing journalist Maqbool Kashmiri.
The cheque was given by the minister at his residence. Maqbool Kashmiri is a senior journalist who remained associated with this profession for the last 30 years and remained chairman of Peshawar Press Club for quite long time.
Aftab Sherpao also lauded the services rendered by Maqbool Kashmiri for the cause of journalism and the Indian occupied Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said the government is moving forward with full confidence for the development of the country.
Talking to reporters after addressing the certificate-distribution ceremony held for Afghan students here at a hotel on Sunday, he said, "the performance of Jamali's government is very good and is taking every possible steps for the betterment of the masses."
Sherpao, while condemning the anti-state elements, said, "we should live like brothers and there is a dire need to create unity in our ranks."
