Saturday's severe tropical cyclone (O1A) was centered near Latitude 15.2 North and Longitude 70.0 East, about 1050 km south-east of Karachi at 2 pm PST on Sunday, Meteorological Department said here on Sunday.
According to the fourth tropical cyclone warning, issued by the Met Office, the cyclone had moved in north-westerly direction in past eight hours.
The system was likely to move in the north-north-westerly direction at a speed of 4 knots with maximum sustained winds of 50 knots gusting to 60 knots. The sea conditions were becoming 'rough' to 'very rough' gradually.
Fishermen have been advised strictly not to venture into the open sea during the next two to three days.
Under the influence of this cyclone, rain/dust-thunder showers with some moderate to heavy falls is expected in Lower Sindh during the next 48 hours, the Met Office said.
Pakistan Meteorological Department will issue updates after every six hours or as and when necessary.
