Rajanpur police have registered a case against 100 persons, including Sardar Atif Mazari, nephew of Sardar Shaukat Mazari, deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly, and Sardar Chand Khan Dreshak, cousin of Sardar Hussain Bahadur Dreshak, finance minister of Punjab, following a clash between Mazaris and Dreshaks on the issue of wagon stand.
The case was registered under section 324,427,148,149PPC and 7 of Anti-terrorism Act. Muhammad Asif Chann, adda manager, lodged a complaint that 60 to 70 people raided his office on Thursday and they started firing resultantly, he and other people sustained injuries.
While another case was got registered by Ayub Khan Mazari, adda manager, who alleged in his report that Irfan Dreshak, Ghulam Abbas, Wazir Hussain, Ata Hussain and others reached his office and started firing. However, all escaped unhurt.
Police have registered a case. However, no arrest was made. Heavy police contingent was deployed at the wagon/bus stand to avert any eventuality.
