Tajik president praises uplift work

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in a meeting with Tajikistan President Emomali Sharipovich Rahmonov here on Friday, has said that with opening of Tajik embassy here, relations between two countries will be strengthened.
He while receiving the guest briefed him of pace of work in development of agriculture, health, education and other sectors in Punjab.
Chief Minister told Tajikistan President that with higher development endeavours here; there would be amelioration in standard of common man in the province.
He stated that one billion of rupees were being spent to improve emergency set-up in teaching hospitals in the province. He told the President that in order to improve agriculture sector; rate of mark up for loans to farmers was dropped.
Tajikistan President praised pace of development in Punjab and hoped that trade relations between two countries would be strengthened in times to come.
