Four transport companies to start bus services soon

Under the Punjab government's franchised scheme, four more new transport companies would start its bus services at various routes of the city in a few months, while similar bus services would also be available at other cities.
Rana Shamshad Ahmad Khan, Punjab Transport Minister, said this at the inaugural ceremony of Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service's Lahore-Rawalpindi bus service via Gujrat here on Friday.
He further said that the government business-friendly policies have encouraged both local and international companies to invest in the transport sector, thus people were getting better transport facilities as well as jobs. The government was making maximum efforts to provide reliable and comfortable transport facilities to the people, he added.
Daewoo has extended its bus service to Gujrat through GT Road and the fare would be Rs 140.
