US MIDDAY: sugar firms on small speculators

CSCE raw sugar futures ended higher Friday on buying by the trade and small speculators, with operators saying they were uncertain about the market's next move going into next week.
CSCE July sugar added 0.04 cent to conclude at 6.35 cents a lb, moving from 6.30 to 6.45 cents. October rose 0.05 to 6.72 cents. The rest increased 0.01 to 0.04 cent.
July sugar fell 0.08 to 20.75 cents a lb while September shed 0.10 to 20.80 cents. The rest were flat to 0.02 cent easier. Final traded volume reached 64 lots, from the prior count of 31 lots.
