The Punjab University (PU) will soon start construction work on a sports complex at an estimated cost of Rs 118.071 million.
PU Vice-chancellor Arshad Mehmood visited the sports complex site near Barket Market, where Project Director Mir Pervez Khurshid gave him a briefing on the construction of the complex. The schematic designs were on display on the site.
The initial construction work includes a triple story sports hostel, a football stadium with RCC structure and seating, roofing arrangements and car parking with capacity of 200 cars and 1,000 motorcycles, a two-way road along the campus road.
Moreover, Khana-e-Farhang Iran, Lahore, Director General Muhammad Raza Mashadi extended an official invitation to Punjab University VC Arshad Mehmood for paying visit to the Mashad University, Tehran.
During Arshad's visit, both the universities would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration in the academic programmes.
