Naimat seeks private sector's help to resolve civic issues

City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that Karachi is surrounded with a number of civic problems for which collective and determines efforts are needed for their solution.
He stated this while addressing a reception hosted in his honour here by the Brookes Pharma.
He said he is determined to serve the city, adding that several institutions and notables had consented their co-operation for the beautification of the city.
He said Karachi has always been neglected, as about 12,500 schools, 92 colleges and over 45 hospitals were in miserable condition here, adding water, sewerage and transport were also in worst condition.
He said the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) with its meagre resources was unable to resolve all the problems, and stressed the need for collective efforts to develop the cosmopolitan city.
Naimatullah Khan also appreciated the efforts of Abdul Haseeb Khan for the successful completion of Brookes Crossing at Korangi Site area, and presented the model of Korangi Crossing to him in acknowledgement of his services.
