Heat wave kills four

Scorching heat and high temperature in Sahiwal claimed lives of four persons during past twenty four hours.
Two people fainted in a local theatre. The temperature has shot up to 44 degree centigrade here. A truck driver Meer Shahzad of Bannu fainted and was shifted to DHQ hospital but could not survive. A 25-year-old addict died at the Liaquat Chowk. Police buried his body unclaimed.
Muhammad Hanif of Chak 45/12-L and Haji Muhammad Ali of Chak 140/9-L were shifted in serious condition to the hospital. Both died in the hospital due to the heat stroke.
Meanwhile, in the local Paradise Cinema two persons identified as Imtiaz and Baoo Hamid fainted due to high temperature. The theatre had no exhaust fans and the poor arrangements of ceiling fans worsened the situation.
