'Strengthening of PML leads to consolidating democracy'

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that joining of Pakistan Muslim League by the members assemblies, Nazims and office-bearers of other parties has resulted in strengthening of democracy and the political system.
Merger of different Muslims Leagues, Sindh Democratic Alliance and National Alliance into unified PML is an ample proof of the confidence of these parties in the policies of the present government, he added.
While, addressing a joint press conference on the occasion of joining of PML by MPA of PML (N) Malik Ahad here on Sunday, the CM said that PPP-P MPAs, Shoaib Karim of PP-275 Tehsil Yazman and Khalid Mahmood Waran of PP-269 Tehsil Ahmadpur, had already announced to resign from their seats and they have sent their resignations to the Speaker Provincial Assembly. These MPAs have joined Pakistan Muslim League, he said.
Elahi said that a PML-N leader from Burewala and former Provincial Minister, Syed Shahid Mehdi Nasim had also joined PML. He welcomed Malik Ahad in PML.
He said PML was being strengthened day by day and the political culture of the country is also stabilising. PML is consolidating democracy through unity and implementing public welfare programmes, CM said.
On the occasion, MPA Malik Ahad said that revolutionary changes were being witnessed in the development sector in Punjab under the dynamic leadership of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
