In a statement on Friday, the minister said that inter-city public transports would run as usual and all the vehicles that would go out of the city or coming in would be protected.
He said that those who would take law and order in their hands, interrupt commercial and industrial activities, obstruct smooth running of offices and attempt to harm public and private property would be dealt with in accordance to the law of the land.
He warned those who on such occasion set on fire public and private transport would be caught and punished at the spot.
The minister has said that the strike call was without any reason and is aimed at disturbing peace in the province.
He said that the strike would adversely affect the daily wage earners, hamper production in the industrial areas and slow down commercial activities in the city.
He said that the spillover effect of the happenings in Karachi would be felt in the entire province.
He warned the "mischief mongers" and asked them to desist from criminal activities.
The minister said that trade unions and trade bodies have assured him of their co-operation and would keep their business activities going.
