Jamhoori Watan Party Central Information Secretary and ARD leader Senator Amanullah Kazrani said the process of dialogue should be extended to find out permanent solution of ongoing tension in Balochistan. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said the focus of meeting between Shujaat Hussein and Nawab Akbar Bugti was situation prevailing in Balochistan. He added Nawab Bugti would never request for a meeting with General Pervez Musharraf, as he had no personal demand.
He praised the steps taken by the parliamentary committee headed by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein. Demanding due rights for the provinces, he said Balochistan was part of Pakistan and should not be treated step-motherly.
He said the political parties in the parliamentary committee had given clear cut proposals that provinces should be given their due rights in resources, devolution of powers from centre to bottom and except defence, foreign affairs and currency, rest of the powers should be given to the provinces. He was of the view that now when process of dialogues had been initiated in Balochistan, there was no justification of keeping army in Dera Bugti.
