13 bodies of Army, FC personnel recovered: ISPR

Rescue teams have recovered thirteen more bodies of the personnel of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps who were caught in an avalanche at Kot Muhammad Base in remote Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency on February 10. Two of the Shuhada belonged to Frontier Force Regiment while eleven others are from Frontier Corps NWFP, said a press release of ISPR here on Saturday.
They have been identified as Sepoy Zeenat Ali (Swabi); and Sepoy Muhmmad Ilmas (Rawalpindi) of Frontier Force Regiment while the FC NWFP Shuhada included Naik Akram (Khyber Agency), Naik Jan Muhammad (Khyber Agency), Lance Naik Zaitullah (Bannu), Lance Naik Bahawalpur (Khyber Agency), Lance Naik Shamroze Khan (South Waziristan), Lance Naik Anwar Sadaat (Khyber Agency), Lance Naik Haji Muhammad (Khyber Agency), Lance Naik Akram Khan, (Khyber Agency), Sepoy Ishaq Khan (Bannu) Sepoy Arif Khan (Khyber Agency) and Sepoy Khial Muhammad (Khyber Agency).
Rescue teams recovered the bodies of Shuhada from 20 to 25 feet deep snow at a height of 10,400 feet from the sea level. It may be mentioned here that rescue parties already recovered seven bodies from the same place on March 30, 2005.
