Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister for Social Welfare and Chairperson, Punjab Social Services Board, Saba Sadiq, has said that Dar-ul-Aman advisory committees are being constituted throughout the province and in this regard a notification will be issued shortly.
The adviser stated this during her visit to local Dar-ul-Aman along with EDO (Community Development) Chaudhry Shabbir Ahmad, DO Social Welfare, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Incharge Dar-ul-Aman Waheeda Iftekhar and other officials.
The adviser said lady doctors, female lawyers and psychologists would also be included in the advisory committee so that they could play an effective role in sorting out problems faced by Dar-ul-Aman inmates.
Saba Sadiq later visited Special Children School being run under Tanzeem-ul-Lisaan where Dar-ul-Lisaan President Iftekhar Ahmad, Chaudhry Muhammad Asif and other organisation members received her.
The adviser announced a grant of Rs 20,000 on the occasion for the Special Children School. Saba Sadiq also visited a hospital being run by a local NGO, Falah-e-Millat, where she inspected different departments and performed the opening ceremony of newly set up Gynaecology and Ophthalmology departments by cutting ribbons. The adviser announced a grant of Rs 10,000 and ensured construction of a new block of the hospital.
