The government of Japan on Monday provided 35.71 million dollars for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the education, health and infrastructure facilities in the earthquake devastated Battagram district.
Japan provided this amount as a Non-Project Grant Assistance (NPGA) and in this connection the groundbreaking ceremony was held at a prefabricated operation theatre at the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital, Battagram.
The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Seiji Kojima and Altaf Saleem, Chairman of the Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (Erra) were present at the groundbreaking ceremony, says a press statement.
