BHC summons LEAs officials in detention case

Balochistan High Court (BHC) here on Monday issued notices to officials of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to appear before the court in detention case of an SDO B&R Jamal Khan Bugti, on July 18. The court also ordered to fix the matter along with other similar cases, which are pending in the court.
The court headed by the vacation judge Justice Mehta Kailash Nath Kohli issued the orders after preliminary observation of a petition filed by a woman Almas Khatoon on June 28 last submitting that her son Jamal Khan Bugti is a government servant with clear past records of his service working at Killa Abdullah.
The petitioner stated that some persons in civilian dress came to her house and called her son out. They took his to some unknown location. She said that her son was neither wanted by any court nor had any affiliation with any political parties.
The petitioner stated that she approached the concerned police station but the authorities paid no heed to her words.
The petitioner stated she has closed relations with JWP leader Senator Agha Shahid Bugti and district Nazim Dera Bugti Kazim Bugti.
She prayed to order the LEAs authorities to release her son and produce before the court. The vacation judge after going through the case issued notices to LEAs authorities. The court adjourned hearing of the case till July 18.
