People requested on Monday by Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) to avoid excessive use of electricity especially during the peak hours, that is, in the evening from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, said a press release of the company issued here.
It said that the current prevailing heat wave have increased the usage of electricity, which have further loaded our distribution system specially during the peak hours and our electricity demand has considerably increased, resulting electricity breakdowns in many areas and some times it also have damages costly Pesco installations, including transformers and melting of distributions lines.
The other main cause of break downs were illegal load particularly through direct hooks, which not only affected the stability of power supply, but might also damage expensive distribution and grid stations equipment.-PR
