KARACHI: Barclays Bank PLC, Pakistan today unveiled their new product ‘Junior Account’ catering to children below the age of 18 years in Pakistan.

The product was introduced to kids and their parents during an activity packed day at Park Towers in Karachi. Barclays Junior Account aims to serve as the stepping stone to prepare kids for smart spending in future by empowering them with their own bank account.

Commenting on the launch event, CEO Barclays Bank Pakistan, Shazad Dada said, "Barclays Junior Account has been exclusively developed for kids, bringing the world of banking to them and giving them an opportunity to develop responsible spending habits from an early age. This product is bundled with a variety of exclusive and unique features for Barclays Power Kids. Consistent with our strategy, we will continue to develop and offer new products to cater to the needs of our target market.”

In addition to regular account features, Barclays Power Kids enjoy additional privileges such as Personalised Picture ID Card along with an exclusive welcome kit which gives them access to exciting events and exclusive offers in the areas of entertainment, apparel, toys, book stores, etc. Amongst other benefits, the Barclays Junior Bank Account also offers free insurance cover for parents.
