It is matter of immense pleasure for me to extend my heartiest felicitations to the Bolan Joint Venture on the auspicious occasion of Zarghun gas commencement ceremony.
The production from Zarghun Gas Field will not only help minimise the energy shortfall but also to cut down the oil import bill of the country growing with the escalation of oil prices in the world market.
The Government has embarked upon a 25 years energy plan to exploit the indigenous hydrocarbons deposits of the country aimed at to meet the growing GDP needs and overcome the gas shortfall after 2010.
Tremendous increase in the demand of energy is the actual and the real challenge before our entire energy sector. Equipped with the supportive policies of the government, the E&P sector has amplified their activities to plug the alarming gap between supply and demand for fuel.
I am certain that the indigenous population can look forward to abundant opportunities of employment, and benefit from the social infrastructure development of the area. It is my desire to witness businesses such as Bolan Joint Venture and the local population foster a relationship based on mutual trust and confidence in each other.
The private sector in Pakistan has contributed a lot to our lives and it is my sincere hope that ventures such as Bolan Joint Venture will keep playing their role in augmenting the national economy; as energy is the currency of future.
May Allah bless the people of Pakistan.
