Programme for special children

Artist and social worker Jimmy Engineer is holding 'Fun and Food programme' for special children at a local hotel on Wednesday (December 13) at 10.00 am.
The programme launched about four years ago by Jimmy Engineer, has picked up momentum and different restaurants, five star hotels, clubs and parks have started inviting the special children. The family of Byram D. Avari has been kind enough to support this noble cause.
The special children will perform tableau and show their talent. This function has been arranged for special children so that they could get a feel of the atmosphere just like any other normal children.
Jimmy Engineer appeals to different segment of the society that they have a unique opportunity to come forward and be a part in improving the lives of these special children by offering different materialistic help, which can bring a smile on the faces of these wonderful children.
'Our country is still far away from giving these special children privileges just like in the West, but we are sure that such programmes will eventually lead the way for a better understanding between these children and our society', he added.
Special children from Child Guidance School, Special Education & Training Centre, Shalimar Special Education Higher Secondary School for Hearing Impaired Children, Hajvery Special Education Centre for VHC, Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, TSA Training Centre for Mentally Retarded Children, Institute of Disadvantaged Children Fountain House, Kawish Public School, Aziz Jehan Begum Trust for Blind, Inayat Foundation Academy for the Deaf, Amin Maktab, Pearls Centre School for Hearing Impaired, Image Institute for Learning, Hamza Foundation Academy for the Deaf have been invited for the programme.
