Pakistan has said it is 'watching with concern and worry the situation in Lebanon' and appeals to all parties to exercise restrain to resolve the present political crisis.
"Pakistan would like to see peace and stability prevaile in Lebanon," the Foreign Office Spokesperson said when asked to comment over the situation in Lebanon, arising out of massive anti-prime minister's protest.
The spokesperson, in a statement, said that Lebanon needs the energies and focus of all its people and leaders on rebuilding and overcoming the devastating impact of the recent Israeli aggression.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to continue mass protests calling for Lebanon's Western-backed government, led by Fouad Siniora, to resign.
Thousands of Hezbollah followers have been protesting in central Beirut for 10 days, with sporadic clashes between the government and the anti-government supporters. Hezbollah withdrew its minister from the government last month.
