President Pakistan Peoples Party-Parliamentarians Punjab Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while alleging the government for its failed policies and consequent poor condition poverty-stricken masses, has said if the dollar appreciates, then petrol prices go up and if the wheat is imported, then amenities of life reach beyond the reach of the people, which are glaring features of the so-called success story of the present government.
He was addressing a workers' in Arifwala and Sahiwal, says a press release issued here on Sunday Qureshi said the PPP would not choose backdoor for coming to power, adding that the masses themselves would bring them into the power to solve their problems. "People have recognised those who chose to ride bicycle (Pakistan Muslim League-Q) after getting elected from the PPP platform. We will snatch power from non-political forces, and show the masses true faces of the Chaudhrys of Gujarat," he said, while adding that Benazir Bhutto wanted to see the PPP as a united force in the Punjab.
He further said the workers should start preparing themselves for bringing Benazir back in a respectable manner. "Start preparations for the elections as well. In March, we will tell the Chaudhrys that the PPP is ready to face them, and the Party will come into power," he added.
Information-Secretary PPP Punjab Farzana Raja alleged that the rulers were trying to silent the masses, while we would not bow before the Chaudhrys.
Muneer Ahmed Khan said the turncoats would not be allowed to comeback to the party and PPP's mission would be further strengthened. Haji Aziz-ur-Rehman Khan said those who changed their loyalties were political blackmailers, and workers had seen their true faces.
