Lawyers here observed a thanks-giving day and prayed in the bar premises with former Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Hafiz Abdur Rehman Ansari leading the prayers. Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) office bearers also distributed sweets among the bar members.
Vice President Anwar Hameed and Secretary Zulfiqar Bokhari also addressed the bar members and expressed their determination to continue their struggle for the rule of law and democracy. They said the lawyers' action committee would chalk out a strategy they would follow and force the rulers to step down.
