Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi will announce a special package for the clerks for improving their service structure. The package would be announced in the Clerks' Convention to be held at Al-Hamra Hall in Lahore on September 9.
"We are hopeful that the chief minister would announce the package for clerks as per the charter of demand presented by the association, said Iftikhar Ahmed, district president All Pakistan Clerks Association here on Thursday while talking to reporters at Rawalpindi Press Club.
He said that the special package given to teachers has created hope among clerks for grant of financial benefits by the chief minister. "Federal government and three provinces have already upgraded the clerks but Punjab government did not issue notification in this regard and the employees were deprived of their basic rights.
We also demand the upgradation for class four employees (BPS-1 to BPS-4)", he added. He said that the All Pakistan Clerks Association Rawalpindi district would attend the Clerks' Convention.
