Liberal spendings for education sector development are yielding encouraging results, fast improving literacy atop. District Naib Nazim Muhammad Yousuf Kasailia said on Thursday while talking to journalists. "Incumbent government has increased education budget manifold, that is why literacy is improving fast".
He lauded that Punjab government's incentives to promote education, including free education upto matric, free books and stipend to girl students, are yielding results.
Naib Nazim said school dropout rate had reduced markedly, literacy rate had improved and enrolment in schools had doubled in the district. He said children of poor families would be enrolled in schools and extended support in the next few months, to promote education.
