PML and allies committed to serve masses: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Saturday said the PML and its allied parties are committed to serve the people for their better future and will continue to consolidate political and economic stability.
He was talking to Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd), District Nazim Attock, who called on him here at the Prime Minister House. The Prime Minister said that the government has introduced reforms in every sector of economy and is pursuing policies to transfer the benefits of high economic growth to the masses.
The reform agenda of the government, he said, has increased employment opportunities in the country and reduced the poverty level. The continuity of policies and sustained growth of the economy are the only elements for economic success, he added.
The Prime Minister said the government has prioritised the provision of basic facilities of life including health, education, clean drinking water, electricity and gas to the masses and would continue allocating funds to further improve their living standard.
He inquired about the various ongoing development schemes initiated in Attock and emphasised the need for timely completion so that the benefits of development start reaching at the grassroots level.
Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd) updated the Prime Minister about the progress of work on various development schemes in Attock and hoped that these schemes would be completed within the stipulated time frame.
