Nawaz Sharif was "disappointed" to have been deported from his homeland on returning from Britain, but will go back to Pakistan "as soon as he can," his son said on Monday. Hasan Sharif said his father's deportation to Saudi Arabia was "a bad day in the history of Pakistan."
"He is very disappointed, but equally he has very high spirits. He is a very courageous man. Everybody witnessed what he did today," he told Sky News television in Britain, referring to his father's return to Pakistan.
"It's a bad day in the history of Pakistan," he added, but said: "Musharraf, make no mistake about it, he will be back." "Forcing him to go back to Saudi Arabia against my father's will, will never be a happy ending for the people of Pakistan."
