Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Monday announced to return home to challenge General Musharraf as her spouse was deported few hours after he returned to Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif was sent back to Saudi Arabia around four hours after he arrived at the Islamabad international airport while ending his seven-year exile in Saudi Arabia and Britain. "I will return to Pakistan in few days and will see as to who dare stops me," Kulsoom Nawaz told private TV channel from London.
Kulsoom Nawaz, who was also sent into exile with her husband in 2000, had been quiet during seven- year exile but made a public statement for the first time to condemn the government action to deport her husband. "The deportation shows as to how the dictatorship has been exposed," she said.
"The rulers are in fact the property agents. They have dragged the country into political quagmire and chaos. The government has admitted that Nawaz Sharif is the great leader in Pakistan," she said. She said the government is worried and faces of the rulers become yellow when they talk about Nawaz Sharif.
