Inquiry into killing of former SSG commander ordered

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik has ordered immediate inquiry into assassination of former commander of Special Services Group (SSG) Major General Amir Faisal Alvi (Retd) and asked the investigators to submit report within three days.
He also ordered the constitution of a joint investigation team consisting of Police, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other law enforcement agencies and directed the team to nab the culprits as soon as possible.
DIG Headquarters Islamabad police Saeed Gul would be the head of joint investigation team and officials from FIA and law enforcement agencies will assist him in investigation. The investigation team will submit the detailed report to the Interior Ministry within three days. Some unknown gunmen killed Major General Amir Faisal Alvi (Retd) along-with his driver on Wednesday near his house at PWD Housing Society, at Lohi Bher.
