Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has finalised necessary arrangements for holding first-ever exhibition hockey match under floodlights here on Saturday with a musical evening here at National hockey stadium. Chairman of the organising committee of the match Pervez Bhandara told reporters here on Friday that the match will be played between Pak senior and Pak juniors at 7 pm.
Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer will be the chief guest on the occasion. A similar event will be played at Karachi on November 11. He said the PHF has invited former Pakistan hockey captains, former Olympians and international players to see the match followed by an entertaining programme. In the musical evening, Ali Azmat, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Adeel, daughter of famous folk singer Reshma, Komal and Roxen will perform. Rana Mujahid thanked PHF for extending all out co-operation to hold the match. " We will be having a lucky draw of Rs 100,000 for the general public', he said.
