Hyderabad to get kidney transplant centre

A feasibility report for the establishment of Kidney Transplantation and Dialysis Centre in Hyderabad would be submitted to the federal government by 25th of this month, informed DCO Hyderabad Ali Ahmed Lund.
While presiding over a meeting regarding preparation of feasibility report here on Sunday, he said that MNA Hyderabad Tayab Hussain had approved this scheme keeping in view the increasing number of Kidney patients and lack of modern treatment facilities in the district.
The DCO said that present government was giving top priority to the health sector as the scheme proposed by a local MNA was also approved by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
The DCO also constituted a three-member committee headed by EDO Health Bux Ali Pitafi with District Officer Planning and Development and District Officer Buildings Hyderabad for the preparation of feasibility report.
The DCO said that after completion of various projects in health sector, Hyderabad would become a model district for providing health services in the province.
He said that in addition to the federal and provincial governments, District government Hyderabad was also giving top priority to health sector and has launched many projects to ensure better medical facilities to the people. EDO Planning and Development, DO Building, officers from Health Department and others attended the meeting.
