'Taseer hatching conspiracies against Shahbaz'

PML-N has accused Governor Punjab Salman Taseer of hatching conspiracies against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif saying that the better performance of the provincial government has become an eyesore for the governor.
"The governor has grudges against PML-N and he wants to create crisis in the province," said Ahsan Iqbal, PML-N central information secretary while talking to reporters after attending a seminar at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) here on Tuesday.
"The PML-N government in Punjab is doing far better than governments in other provinces and Salman Taseer is not ready to accept this reality", he said. He said that the PML-N was preparing a draft of 18th amendment. The draft amendments will be placed before the parliament soon.
He said that the US had not stopped its strikes on Pakistan despite the fact that parliament passed a unanimous resolution. The government is not taking a tough stance on these attacks from which we suggest that there is a kind of tacit understanding between the government and US. The US strikes inside Pakistan are continuing despite the parliament passed unanimous resolution. This is quite unfortunate, he added. He stressed the need of having unwavering unity within our ranks to successfully resolve the numerous internal and external challenges Pakistan was confronting.
