27 Nov, 2008

Pakistan Muslim League-N Secretary General International Affairs Sheikh Kaiser Mahmood has said that the dictator who abrogated the constitution, derailed democracy and sent national leadership in forced exile, has escaped from the country. The PML-N leader said here on Wednesday that NRO branded rulers have forgiven Pervez Musharraf but nation would never forgive him.
He said PML-N leaders Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif despite being removed illegally from power and exiled never compromised on national interests and played their role for the security and solidarity of the country. He said people by giving mandate in favour of the PML-N in February 18 election, rejected extra constitutional steps of Pervez Musharraf.
Sheikh Kaiser said like October 12, 1999, December 10, 2000 is the black day in the history of the country, as on this day national leaders Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif along with their family were sent abroad forcibly. He said the national leaders returned to homeland on November 25, 2007 and people of Lahore accorded befitting welcome to the national heroes on their arrival here.
He said the PML-N regained power with the support of masses, but Musharraf can never enter the corridors of power again. Regarding Pervez Musharraf's visit to UK and US, he said, "Nobody can trust a person who has been rejected by his own people."
