Iranian diesel and petrol worth millions of rupees were seized in the outskirts of Karachi on Wednesday. On a tip off, the Directorate General, Intelligence and Investigation (DGI&I) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) seized an oil tanker and a truck carrying some 27,990 liters and 20,000 liters of diesel and petrol respectively worth Rs 6.79 millions.
The department also intercepted and seized a truck KE-2523 carrying 48 bags of foreign origin black tea worth Rs 1.39 million. Some 4,757 yards of foreign origin cloths were also seized, which were being smuggled on another truck KN-7962. Meanwhile, in yet another action, the DGI&I recovered Indian Ghutka and China tools worth Rs 4.07 million.
