Jamat-e-Islami supports call for APC: Qazi

02 Dec, 2008

Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that they support the idea of calling All Parties Conference (APC) by the government. If it fails to create harmony among the nation then JI will call the APC for the creation of harmony and they will also start a mass contact campaign.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Mansoorah here on Monday. He said that India was levelling baseless allegations against Pakistan's involvement in recent terror attacks in Mumbai. He also said that it was a conspiracy to defame Pakistan in which India, Israel and America were involved. He demanded that the government should immediately stop operation in Fata. He said that people of the tribal areas were patriotic and if the operation were stopped in these areas then they would fight alongside with the Pakistan army. The Indian consulates in Afghanistan were involved in the terrorist activities in Pakistan and America wants to enter in tribal areas and Balochistan, he added.
Qazi demanded that the government should take serious steps to maintain law and order in Karachi and control ethnic related violence in the city. He also said that a conspiracy was being hatched to destroy peace in Karachi and the government should arrest the criminals involved in it.
