Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said that people involved in abducting British citizen Sahil would be brought to Pakistan from France for trail in the Pakistani courts. Giving a policy statement in the National Assembly, the Interior Minister said that formal request have been made to French government to repatriate the alleged culprits who were involved in the abduction of Sahil.
He said that Sahil was sent to UK on Thursday after deleting his name from the Exit Control List put earlier to avoid his possible abduction to other country. The Interior Minister further said that the boy was traced by the joint efforts of UK, France, Spain and government of Pakistan.
Later on a point of order, Fata lawmaker Kamran Khan, who has recently jointed PPP demanded of the government to include the inputs of Fata members in the recommendations of the Constitutional reform committee, which is in the process of finalising the recommendations. He also sought complete sealing of the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan to end the infiltration of terrorists.
