Samsung sells two million smart TVs

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, recently unveiled that it's cumulative 'Smart TV' sales has surpassed 2 million units cumulatively since their introduction in March 2011. It is an unprecedented record and reinforces Samsung's brand leadership as "Smart TV=Samsung TV" the world over. The highest number of Smart TV's sold was in North America at 730,000 units, followed by Europe with 710,000 units and Middle East, Africa and South Asia with 170,000.
In Korea alone the number of Samsung Smart TV's sold on its launch were more than 120,000 units. Samsung Smart TV's sales success was made possible by its widest product line-up, user interface, differentiated smart functionality and enriched content which provide what consumers want. With Samsung Smart TV, users can enjoy smart tips, smart search, social networking, web browser, and Samsung Apps TV all via Smart Hub-a customised user interface.
