Managing Director Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL) Arif Hameed has announced a gas curtailment for nine days at a stretch in the industrial sector.
He said that from August 29 to September 6 in zone 1 which consists of Lahore, Sheikhupura & Sahiwal and from September 1st to September 9 in the areas of zone 2 which consists of the areas of Bahawalpur, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Islamabad to bridge the gap of additional shortfall of 400 MMCFD due to Annual Turn Around (ATA) of Qadirpur gas field.
He said that after that gas shall be supplied for four days followed by 4 days curtailment. He also said that after September 17th three gas holidays per week shall be observed by industrial sector till completion of performance test while domestic and commercial consumers shall continue to get gas during ATA.
