Snapchat recently updated its app, leaving users from all across the world infuriated. People took to social media criticizing the app and its recent update.

Snapchat is one of the most loved applications in today’s generation. The update caused a panic and uproar where a lot of users insisted to revert back the changes and even threatening to uninstall the app.

As The Independent describes, in the new update, the stories are no longer arranged chronologically and do not even appear on a separate section. Instead, the stories’ section is merged with all the regular snaps, messages and group chats into a new Friends page. In order to post their own story, see views or delete the story, the user would have to tap on the Snapchat logo on the top-left corner on the main camera screen.

While announcing about the redesign back in November last year, CEO Evan Spiegel said that this new update might be complicated to understand and use for some customers. He said, “There is a strong likelihood that the redesign of our application will be disruptive to our business in the short term, and we don’t yet know how the behavior of our community will change when they begin to use our updated application. We’re willing to take that risk for what we believe are substantial long-term benefits to our business.”

Here are a few reactions from annoyed users regarding the update:

However, Snapchat replied to the complaints telling that the users will enjoy the update once they ‘settle in’.
