Due to poor security arrangements of Lahore High Court two incidents of scuffle between litigant parties appeared in the LHC premises here on Friday. Taking notice of such incidents, the LHC judges directed the police high ups time and again to ensure a strict security plan inside the high court. But incidents of scuffle between litigant parties have become order of the day especially in love marriage cases.
First scuffle took place among the family members of Laila and Shakoor of Karim Park Lahore. The whole drama started when the court allowed Laila to go with her husband (Shakoor). Family members of the girl tried to take her forcibly with them, however, other side resisted and LHC turned into battlefield. At last security personnel of LHC intervened to control the situation.
The second incident occurred inside the courtroom of Justice Shahid Hameed Dar. The judge was hearing a similar petition filed by Tahir Abbas of Chiniot who contracted marriage with Iram Shahzadi. On Friday, Shahzadi told the judge that no body kidnapped her but she married Abbas on her own free will. At this the judge allowed the girl to go with her husband. Soon after the judge left for retiring room, the family of the girl attacked the groom. Family of Abbas also retaliated. Security personnel after hectic effort handled the situation.
