Faisalabad University plans to enhance postgraduate programmes

The University of Faisalabad (TUF) plans to enhance research and expand Postgraduate programmes and has taken more constructive steps to further enhance its existing research and postgraduate programmes. In this regard an orientation seminar was held at university auditorium for the faculty and students of medicine and dentistry.
The seminar was conducted by Professor Syed Akhtar Bukhari, Director TUF Advanced Studies & Research; who delivered a talk on 'postgraduate and research programmes of the University'. A mapping of 'postgraduate and research programmes' was introduced to the participants. In this presentation, he elaborated the importance of research and development of a science culture for the growth of a university level institution.
He said the University would facilitate not only its faculty but also undergraduate students, with research grants, adding the University would reward researchers who produced good quality scientific work of international standard.
The university has decided to start postgraduate programmes in MPhil and PhD in the disciplines of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, management and social sciences. Master programmes of multidisciplinary nature are also in preparation. Earlier, Professor Dr Faqir Hussain Khan, Director Co-ordination, highlighted the salient aspects of undergraduate and graduate programmes at TUF.
