Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza chaired a meeting to discuss security arrangements for the joint sitting of Parliament for the address of the Turkish Prime Minister to be held on May 21. The Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, CDA's chairman, Inspector-General of Police (ICT) and officers of departments concerned attended the meeting.
The Inspector-General of Police briefed the Speaker about the elaborate security arrangements. Later, it was decided that entry into the Parliament House would be allowed only on special passes issued by the National Assembly Secretariat and parking of vehicles would be in designated parking lots for which red and green stickers would be issued. It was also decided that a shuttle services would ply between Parliament Lodges and Parliament House for the convenience of parliamentarians. No armed guards of parliamentarians will be allowed in the precincts of the Parliament House on May 21.-PR
