Winning customers' trust and provision of quality products is vital for businesses in the modern world that has become a global village and all sorts of information are just a click away from buyers and sellers. Only those businesses will be able to make a mark that will be well versed with latest marketing techniques.
Convenor of LCCI's Standing Committee on Training and Development Awais Saeed Piracha stated this while addressing the students of various universities who called on him here at LCCI on Saturday. Speaking on sales ethics and modern marketing techniques, he said that there was a dire need for a long- term planning to win a place in the global market. Pakistani businesses, he said, should evolve their sales and marketing strategies to survive and prosper in the rapidly evolving global economy.
He said that Pakistan was a resource-rich country but it had failed to tap its true potential just because of the unavailability of a properly designed marketing strategy. He said that the government would have to come forward to help the private sector in securing markets beyond Europe and America.
He said that Pakistan's total export of $25 billion was negligible when compared with other countries of the world with area and population equal to that of Pakistan. He said that a large number of African countries were ready to do business with Pakistan, but they were "unable to reach us only because of lack of information". He said that Pakistani embassies around the globe should be given the task to highlight the country's potential in various sectors.
