Two alleged criminals arrested

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Saturday claimed to have arrested two alleged criminals and recovered weapons from their possession during search operation at Baloch Para, Jahangir road. According to police and eye-witnesses, at around 2:30AM., heavy contingents of LEAs cordoned off Baloch Para and initiated door-to-door search operation but faced strong resistance from the criminals, who took on streets and resorted to heavy gunshots to express resentments against the search.
The eye-witnesses said the law enforcers have besieged the area and started house to house search initially on late Friday. They said the LEAs despite facing stiff armed resistance had detained some two criminals, who were involved in heinous crimes including drugs peddling, kidnapping, robberies and other. Later, the arrested men were sent to Solider Bazaar police station for further legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the Solider Bazaar police confirmed to have detained two suspects with weapons during search. Police said the suspects were identified as Nabi Bux son of Kareem Bux and Abid Ali son of Muhammad Azam. They said the police had also seized two pistols and several rounds from their possession and added that these accused persons committed serious offences and were said to have connected with Lyari's gangsters. The further investigation was underway.
