Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has sought co-operation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (Noorani group) for its current movement launched against Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani after his conviction by the apex court. A delegation of JUP (Noorani group) met PML-N President Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence here on Monday.
During the meeting, views were exchanged over the country's current political situation and matters pertaining to restoration of Nato supply routes. Sources said the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif told JUP leaders that the PML-N is establishing contacts with all the opposition parties for long march against the present regime. He also said the role of religious parties is of vital importance in the movement against the government. Sources claimed that Nawaz did not show any positive response on the proposal of JUP leaders for launching a protest movement against Nato supply routes.
