PAC to discuss Sharif brothers' cases today

23 May, 2012

The National Assmbly's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will discuss references filed by Interior Minister Rehman Malilk against the Sharif brothers on money laundering on Wednesday (today). Chairman PAC Nadeem Afzal Gondal said that he had received 2-3 references in sealed envelops from the Ministry of Interior, but he had not yet examined them.
He said an internal meeting of the PAC would first review these references before proceeding against the Sharif brothers. He said that PAC's stance had been reported incorrectly that the reference filed against the Sharif brothers was beyond the committee's domain.
