The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday sought reply from Interior Ministry by June 8 in a petition of a trader Mehtab and others against Pakistani authorities for harassing them after India media declared them terrorists. Petitioner Mehtab, Atif (traders) and Babar (security guard) at Hafeez Centre, Lahore, submitted that the act of Indian media not only damaged their reputation but tarnished the image of Pakistan in the world.
They said the news published by Indian media had been proved bogus but Pakistani secret agencies were still harassing them. They prayed to the court to restrain the local agencies from harassing them and also sought protection against possible arrest. An Indian newspaper had published the pictures of the petitioners by dubbing them as terrorists.
