KPT awards e-payments mandate to Barclays Bank

Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has awarded Electronic Payments mandate to Barclays Bank Pakistan for managing their monthly payments pertaining to royalty and wharfage of container terminals and shipping corporations through Barclays online banking platform. This system will not only help KPT to receive timely payments but will also improve cash flows and interest income.
Signing ceremony was held on May 12 at Barclays Bank's Head office in Karachi. The KPT's Chairman Mohammad Aslam Hayat and Barclays CEO Shahzad Dada were present at the ceremony along with their respective teams. Speaking at the occasion, Shahzad Dada said, "Our commitment to Pakistan is driven by our client focused strategy. We therefore endeavour to create and implement tailored solutions for clients like KPT, to serve their unique cash flow requirements in the best possible manner."
KPT Chairman Mohammad Aslam Hayat shared his thoughts with the team and said, "We are very glad to have Barclays as our banking partner. I hope their focus on clients and customised solutions will raise the bar of client servicing in the industry."-PR
